Just as there are no metrics when it comes to human relationships, knowing when to make a life-changing decision is not so easy to quantify. Making a life-changing decision is not as lighthearted as making a New Year’s Resolution. People make resolutions every year, and, more often than not, fail to keep them. With a serious decision though, timing is everything. The decision might involve your health, a new job or career, education, pursuing wealth, starting a business or even changing your religious faith. These types of decisions require lots of thinking and careful assessment. You don’t have a crystal ball telling you whether or not the decision is a good one. You have to know the right time to make this kind of decision. Deciding the right time to make a life decision is never easy, but there is no turning back. Will Rogers said, “Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.” Just take the time to enjoy life more and engage more frequently with the people you care about. Everything emotional creates memory and has a long lasting emotional impact. One way to engage is by texting just to let someone know that you care or just to stay in touch.
