Sodexo knows students want to hear about more than food

Sodexo also knows how important it is for students to feel that they are staying informed. A customized mobile marketing plan was designed for Sodexo that created customer data collection forms. An automated student notification system was also implemented. Mobile surveys and other interactive tools were also added to the mix that was essentially a complete customer mobile database. Aside from driving traffic to campus cafeterias by texting messages about what’s cooking tonight, Sodexo now and a quick communication channel to deliver emergency alerts, campus events and special promotions. They were able to gather rapid customer feedback and increase not only sales but customer loyalty.

Sodexo and ProTexting working together collaboratively: In the past 4 years Sodexo has engaged the ProTexting team to build and maintain their custom mobile marketing platform. ProTexting has provided consultation on what to include in the training and marketing materials, and has trained the Sodexo marketing team on how to better utilize the platform to support the Sodexo client base. Sodexo has utilized its own internal marketing channels to get the word out about the texting program.

The results of the collaborative team efforts are remarkable. Over 200 locations have signed up to use the mobile marketing platform and it continues to grow in popularity with a steady stream of new participants.  As a direct result of mobile marketing, there has been as much as a 500% increase in sales. –KK
